December in Bloom

We wrapped up 2019 with good times on the east and west coasts (of Florida).
There’s a world-class palm and cycad collection in a waterfront park in St. Pete. It’s free, always open, well-maintained and labeled. Gizella Kopsick ArboretumWe had a birthday celebration for Grandma Polly at the old school house in St. Lucie Village. She said it was the best party ever because she knew everyone there. Here she is with her children on the front steps:We had some visitors. Some invited, some not.I walked some miles along the beach.Score!Catching sand fleas is way more fun than it sounds. My black-eyed peas are soaking in the crockpot and I’m picking my first decent bunch of collards for our lucky New Year’s dinner trifecta.I can’t wait to dive in.

Enjoy your celebration and see you back here in 2020, my friends!
