July In Bloom

This month we left our swampy state and headed north to Gloucester, Massachusetts, where the weather is fine and the water is cold.

Florida summer brings so many good things:  Mangos drip from the trees. Frangipanis perfume the air.  Rain pitter-patters on the metal roof. Snowbirds have all gone home.

It has only been officially summer for a week, but we’ve had hot weather and high humidity since March.  The first step to enjoying summer is to accept the fact that you’re going to sweat, and so is everyone else.
